  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Eve Langley (1908-1974) was born in Australia and moved to New Zealand in 1932 where she married Hilary Clark. She later returned to Sydney and spent the latter part of her life as a recluse in the Blue Mountains. She is best known for her novel 'The Pea Pickers', published in 1942. A companion novel, 'White Topee', followed in 1954. Langley also wrote a considerable number of poems, some of which were published in The Bulletin's Red Page.
