  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Albert Bellier de Villentroy (1876-1926), professional photographer formerly of New Orleans owned De Villentroys Studios at 80 Hunter Street, Sydney (1921-1925) and 214 Pitt Street, Sydney (1925). His daughter, Marie-Celeste (1906-198?) also appears to have worked in her father's studio and from 1931 to 1945 owned a cafe called De Villentroy's French Coffee Rooms at 31 Pitt Street, Sydney. In 1952 she married Joseph Launay (1901-1977) a seaman and baker.
