  • Source
    44 albums of photographs were purchased from the estate of Arthur Searcy between 1921 and 1924. They contained 18,967 photographs taken or collected by Searcy, relating mainly to South Australia. They were purchased by the State Library of South Australia in 1994. This collection of 107 photographs of New South Wales interest were copied by the State Library of New South Wales prior to the purchase. In Dec. 2001, a further volume was located, titled `Album of photographs of Australian scenes'. Eighteen photographs of New South Wales lighthouses were digitized, the volume then transferred to the State Library of South Australia.
