The Sydney Amateur Sailing Club was founded in 1872 and is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Australia. Now located on the shores of Mosman Bay in Sydney Harbour, the club conducts racing for keel yachts on the harbour and, in association with other clubs, offshore. Its biennial Gaffers Day celebrates the tradition of classic yachting on Sydney Harbour.
