Describes day to day activities in London working at the Minerva cafe as a cook; taking care of Mrs Ussher; writing draft of play, "Virtue"; beginning work on "How the Londoner takes his war"; writing article on suffrage for "W. J." (Woman's Journal?) and Sydney Morning Herald; attending theatre and lectures, including by Bertrand Russell and Helena Swanwick (7 March 1917); attending suffrage meetings; sending "Somewhere in London" to Alice Platt; revising "On Dearborn Street"; (from 5 June 1917:) joining the Scottish Women's Hospitals for Foreign Service unit at Ostrovo, Macedonia as a volunteer orderly, and departure from camp 3 Feb. 1918 for London.
