  • Scope and Content
2 duplicate prints "After Golden Summer" by Alex Lundy, created in November 2019 in response to the bushfire emergency in the Braidwood region of New South Wales. The work subverts the 1899 painting "Golden Summer, Eaglemont" by Arthur Streeton by reimagining his depiction of an idyllic rural scene into one of disaster, including two firefighters, a helicopter and the skeleton of a dead animal. Featured as an inscription on verso is a quote from Greg Mullins, former NSW Fire and Rescue Chief, 2019: "Weather records have been broken in terms of fire danger and we’re not even into summer. So… we must do something about climate action."
