    In the first of four interviews, former State Library of New South Wales Curator of Oral History, Rosemary Block, speaks about her Scottish roots, her parents, her childhood in Pretoria, South Africa, her work as a teacher in Johannesberg, South Africa, her marriage to lawyer, Julian Block, and their move to Australia in 1978. Rosemary also discusses working in the antiquarian book trade, including her time with the Berkelouw company, and her early days at the State Library of New South Wales.
