  • Scope and Content
Anne Robinson talks about her early life, her marriage, and recalls the birth and tragic deaths of her eldest two children who both suffered from Cystic Fibrosis. She speaks about her move to the mid north coast of NSW to make a fresh start, and fulfilling her dream of becoming a nurse. Anne talks about her pecan grove on the River Flats, their use of the Camden Haven River water for domestic purposes and the drying of the River during the 2019 drought. She also talks about the 2019/2020 bushfires that affected the area. Anne also describes her experiences working as a nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic including the requirements of PPE (personal protective equipment), health protocols, and the hygiene routine she and her co-workers have incorporated into daily life to protect their families from COVID-19, stories of support from the community, and about isolating herself from family and friends in the early days of the pandemic. The Mid North Coast of NSW recorded a number of positive cases during the winter of 2020. At the end of the interview Anne discusses the vaccine and what the pandemic will mean for the future.
