  • Scope and Content
    20 stereograph photographic prints, mounted on card, providing a visual history of people, places, and events from the Hunter region, including Newcastle, Maitland, and Wyong between ca. 1890 to ca. 1910.

    The unknown photographer has collected scenes of a group of family photos, for example, 3 boys on bikes in the backyard, and in a boat under a weeping willow; a boy and girl sitting in a billy cart, and again in the rain; and three women having tea in the backyard. There are 2 photographs of ships loading coal and 2 photographs of the Newcastle 8 hour day parade opposite G. E. Bell & Sons, 261 Hunter St W Newcastle inscribed '29.10.06'.
