ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Ibrahim Abu Mohammed was born in Egypt in 1944. He undertook legal and Islamic studies at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, where he obtained his doctorate. He moved to Sydney in 1997, founding a radio station which broadcasts religious programs, and establishing a respite care centre in Sydney. He was Grand Mufti of Australia from 2011 to 2018.
