  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Reverend James Watkin (1805-1886) was born at Manchester, England. He joined the Wesleyan Society and offered himself for missionary service in 1829. Before leaving England for Tonga in 1830 he married Hannah Entwisle, Mrs Hannah Watkin died at her residence in Ashfield, 16 February 1900.
