Diana Fisher (née Davis), media personality, journalist and society hostess, was born in London in 1931. She worked for the BBC as an outside broadcaster and later as a BOAC air hostess before her marriage to Humphrey Fisher in 1959. Moving to Australia in 1964, she was a panel member on the television show ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and worked on radio stations 2GB and ABC. Returning to London, she was in charge of researching material for Prince Charles’ investiture as Prince of Wales in 1969. Following the investiture, she returned to Australia, joining the panel of the ABC TV show ‘The Inventors’ and writing social pages and other stories for the ‘Sydney Morning Herald’, ‘Vogue Australia’, the ‘Sunday Australian’, and later the ‘Sunday Telegraph’, ‘Australian Women’s Weekly’ and ‘Women’s Day’. She continues to appear on television and radio programs, her effervescent personality earning her the nickname ‘Bubbles’.
