    Charles Gifford Pryce, a rural worker of Waverley, New South Wales enlisted 27 Sept. 1915, aged 29 and embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A35 Berrima, 12 Dec. 1915 to serve with the 8th Reinforcement, 19th Battalion. He was wounded in action in France, 24 July 1916 and again 6 May 1917, and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery at Meteren, 23 June 1918. He was killed in action, 18 Sept. 1918
