    The originals were given to the City of Leeds, Central Library by Robert Walker of Derby who compiled the tree. After his wife's death Robert Walker the writer of the letters returned to Leeds with his daughter. This information is from letter from City of Leeds Librarian April 1957 filed with photoprints

    8 June 1854 from Goulburn where employed at gaol, describes experiences on gold fields and crime of James Talbot

    18 September 1864 from Goulburn advises brother against coming out on account of state of country, unemployment, robberies, floods, dreadful state of agriculture and pastoral industry, pests etc.
