    239. Quirindi, Main Northern Line, 06/08/2003
    Located in town, more or less on axis of main street. The original silo is a type S016 (1600 tonne capacity) with an additional freestanding bin added in 1960 (3000 tonne). The original silo was built in 1933. There is also an A288 depot (28,800 tonne) added in 1969.

    240. Toongi, Molong to Dubbo Line, 25/09/2003
    Location only on abandoned line. Only sign of original silo or bulkhead is the hopper. Most of the railway lines have been taken up.

    241. Red Bend, Stockinbingal to Parkes Line, 17/01/2004
    Located on the edge of Forbes town. The bulkhead is a C288 built in 1969 with a capacity of 28,800 tonnes. 30 of this type, with capacities ranging up to 54,600 tonnes were built between 1964 and 1970. The circular steel silos are a later addition.

    242. Quandary, Cootamundra to Griffith Line, 05/08/2004
    Location only in flat plain with a mixture of scrub and crops. The original S024 silo (2400 tonne capacity) stands alone (i.e. no additions). It was built in 1931.

    243. Cryon, Narrabri to Walgett Line, 10/09/2007
    Location only in very small village. One large bulkhead at right angles to railway line and also on-ground bunker storage. Train loading at time of survey and truck at weighbridge.

    244. Gwabegar, Binnaway to Gwabegar Line, 10/09/2007
    Located just outside town on end of abandoned line in flat scrub country interspersed with crops. The bulkhead is a type C288 (28,800 tonne capacity) built in 1968. No sign of recent action.

    245. Baradine, Binnaway to Gwabegar Line, 10/09/2007
    Located just outside of town on abandoned line. Original concrete silo is a type S027 (2700 tonne capacity) built in 1935. The B067 bulkhead (6700 tonne capacity) was added in 1959. There is also an A299 bulkhead (29,900 tonnes) built in 1967. No sign of recent use of the facility.

    246. Bugaldie, Binnaway to Gwabegar Line, 10/09/2007
    Location only in cypress forest. Older type bulkhead similar to those built in the 1960s. Is labelled on end as B576. No sign of being used recently.

    247. Coonamble, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Located on edge of town, near railway station (boarded up, platform removed). Line has been recently maintained. Date of construction of large concrete silos unknown. The D150 bulkhead (15,000 tonne capacity) was built in 1966.

    248. Combarra [i.e. Combara], Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Location only with a few houses, 3 km off the highway. The bulkhead type C288 (28,800 tonne capacity) was built in 1968. Also some on-ground bunker storage.

    249. Gular, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Location only in flat cropping country. Construction date and type of original silo unknown. The larger bulkhead is a type C288 (28,800 tonne capacity) built in 1968. 30 depots of this type were constructed between 1964 and 1970. The smaller bulkhead is an earlier model.

    250. Armatree, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Located near a few houses and a big pub about 3 km off the Castlereagh Highway. The original concrete silo is a type S016 (1600 tonne capacity) built in 1935. The larger bin (3000 tonne) was added in 1960. A type D120 bulkhead (12,000 tonnes) was added in 1966. No sign of recent action.

    251. Curban, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Location only in flat cropping country with Warrumbungle Range on horizon. Original concrete silo a type S008 (800 tonne capacity) built in 1930. Two extra bins (5150 tonne) were added in 1960. Later additions i.e. 2 bulkheads increased the capacity dramatically.

    252. Gilgandra, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Located out of town alongside the Newell Highway. Original silo type S068 built in 1920 and extended in 1927 and 1950. The scalloped circular silo is a type A191 (19,100 tonne capacity) was built in 1955. The facility also has an older type bulkhead and a recent addition of circular steel silos. Trucks collection grain.

    253. Balladoran, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Location only with a few houses and an old hall. Operable line but little sign of action at siding. Bulkhead only - D150 type (15,000 tonne capacity) built in 1966.

    254. Eumungerie, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    In a village about 1 km off the Newell Highway. Operable line but no sign of recent action at silo. Original silo is known as a 50,000 bushel, built in 1920 with 2 extra bins added in 1930. The D150 bulkhead (15,000 tonnes) was built in 1966.

    255. Mogriguy, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    Location only with a few houses, 10 km off the Newell Highway. D150 bulkhead only (capacity 15,000 tonnes) erected in 1970. Apart from the on ground bunker storage 'D' depots are the most common type of storage. 72 of this type were built between 1965 and 1970.

    256. Talbragar, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 11/09/2007
    On the outskirts of Dubbo in a semi-industrial area. The original silo is a type S016 (1600 tonne capacity) built in 1935. 23 of these silos were built between 1928 and 1935. The larger facility is an A123 (12,300 tonne) depot built in 1955.
