    John Eaton's sawmill was established near the site of the present day North Sydney Railway Station in 1880, later relocating to the Berrys Bay waterfront where it remained until 1982. In the 1980s the site was partially rezoned residential and built upon with apartments while the rest of the area became the site of Sawmiller Reserve
