George Lindstrom (1927-1977) was a Swedish born photographer who immigrated to Australia in 1951. In 1972 Lindstrom began photographing a series on migrants for a planned monograph of his photographs. After Lindstrom's death the book 'I'll take Australia' was published as a retrospective by David Martin in 1978. - Scope and ContentThis collection includes negatives, photographs, colour transparencies and contact sheets relating to the book 'I'll take Australia' by George Lindstrom. The collection also includes notebooks and notes created by Lindstrom recording photographic details and biographical information on his subjects.
