  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Thomas Watson was born in Deptford in 1795. He married Hannah Hostage in 1818 and arrived in Sydney in 1821. In 1822 he was appointed Superintendent of Macquarie Light House. He was responsible for the statues of James Cook in Liverpool and Hyde Park, Sydney. He died at home in Randwick in 1879.
