John Doyle, as Roy Slaven, presented the radio programme This Sporting Life with Greig Pickhaver, (H. G. Nelson) on 2JJJ FM. He also had a programme on weekday afternoons on ABC radio station 2BL. These papers are scripts from This Sporting Life some of which were also used in compiling the books Pants off : this sporting life (Sydney : ABC enterprises, 1989) and This is the South Coast news and I’m Paul Murphy (Sydney : ABC Enterprises, 1990).
