    1 pen/pencil - ornately decorated in rolled gold, with red cut-glass mounted on the end
  • Scope and Content
    R 532
    Illuminated scroll housed in a black velvet-lined box. At upper centre of the scroll is a representation of the seal of America. Along the left side and on either side of the seal are representations of twenty flags. Seventeen signatures with titles are appended to the address dated '6th February, 1858'.

    R 533
    Pen/pencil : ornately decorated in rolled gold, with red cut-glass mounted on the end. It has a retractable nib and propelling pencil and is filed in the case with the scroll.
