Mary Williams was the wife of the Wesleyan missionary Thomas Williams (1815-1891).
On the 20 August 1839 she married Thomas Williams, and in September 1839 they sailed for the South Seas on the Triton. From July 1840 to July 1853 Williams served successively at Lakeba, Somosomo and Bua (Fiji) before settling in Australia in 1853. She died on the 3rd May 1890 and is buried in the Creswick Cemetery (Victoria).

Their eldest daughter Jane Elizabeth (1848-1932) married Robert Charles Alexander Lindsay, medical practitioner at Creswick and several of these grandchildren were Percy, Lionel, Norman, Daryl and Ruby Lindsay.

Includes flower pressings, poetry, music. Also includes line engravings of English scenes, watercolours, and quotations. The watercolours include flowers, the Church at Hobart Town in 1840 and the Temple of Tavasara, Somosomo, Fiji in 1841
