• ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY
  
  Hugh Buhrich (1911-2004) a German architect came to Australia as a refugee from Nazi Germany, arriving before the beginning of WWII. His practice, of 40 years, covered domestic and small commercial projects. His project designs often included the interiors as well as the buildings. He generally designed in a modernist style, particularly with his own house at Castlecrag (1968-1971) -- Acquisition reports, ML 04/1012
• Scope and Content
  Collection comprises architectural drawings of domestic architecture, (including furniture, fittings and soft furnishings) and small scale commercial projects.
• System of arrangement
  The collection is filed by project number, Numbers 01 to 703. Note the project numbers are incomplete. Drawings within each project are numbered directly after the project number. For example No.36812 represents project No.368, drawing No.12. The collection is accompanied by a card index of client names with project numbers. See attached PDF file for a transcription of the index.
