    Letters of Henry Gilbert Smith and of his brothers Charles and Thomas, 1827-1857; with miscellaneous notes on the Smiths and Glenrock

    Henry Smith started business as a merchant in Sydney in 1827, joined in partnership by Thomas in 1830. Henry was also a director of the Commercial Bank, a land owner and introduced the first steam boat to Sydney in 1830
