    19 & 23 April, 4 May 1883; The letters are addressed to A.G. Hanson, acting as R. Carter's agent, and are written by O.W. Brierly. The contents relates to the sale of Brierly's drawing, "Galatea at Sea by Moonlight on her way to Australia", at the Christies' auction of Sat. 21st April 1883. The letters also discuss the acquisition of an engraving of the Galatea drawing that was published in 1875 in the Art Journal and the sale of a Venitian picture to the Gallery [Art Gallery of N.S.W.?].
