  A separately issued lithograph, it forms a pair with Lycett's lithograph of Hobart Town (Dixson Galleries Collection DG V6/10). This lithograph was based on a drawing Lycett made in 1822 prior to his departure from Australia, with the addition of further topographical features not present in Sydney in 1822. -- Reference: First views of Australia 1788-1825 : a history of early Sydney / Tim McCormick ... [et al.]. Chippendale, N.S.W. : David Ell Press, 1987.
  The library holds another colour lithograph of this print, purchased at Sotheby's Print Sale, London, Jan. 1963 (Lot 238), that is located at Dixson Galleries collection (DG V1/10).
  The prints differs from the ones published in Lycett's, ""Views in Australia ..."" London, 1824 (M.L. ref. F980.1/L) chiefly in regard to the foreground, position and number of the ships in the Bay, and the date of the publication.
