    4 fragments of letters, two written by Arnold from Waimate, N.Z. Letter written to Arnold, Port Phillip, dated Nov. 1843, from Isabella McCullum of Darlinghurst, N.S.W. 11 letters written by Arnold to his family in Windsor, England, 1841-1843 some from Exeter and Plymouth before his departure from England, the rest from Sydney, Geelong Harbour, and Waimate, N.Z. Contain comments on places visited, his attitude to the treatment of convicts and Maoris, and brief descriptions of employment prospects, cost and living conditions in Sydney and Auckland
