Artist and teacher. Taught art in the United States (1927-1934); East Sydney Technical College (1946-1958) and Sydney Teacher's College (1958-1964). Married sculptor Margel Harris in America in 1930. Together the Hinders helped improve awareness of modern art in Australia in the late 1930s
