    Arthur Wellesley Hyman, solicitor of Martin Place, Sydney enlisted 12 Sept. 1914 aged 34 years and embarked on the Themistocles in Sydney, 21 Dec. 1914. He served as a major in the 2nd Australian Light Horse Brigade in the Middle East and France and on the staff of the Fourth Australian Division and was awarded an OBE for his services, and later attained the rank of Colonel with the Army Legal Corps.
