    Antonino, son of Salvatore Macinante (1848-1914), arrived in Sydney in 1909. Antonino Macinante was repatriated to serve as a reservist in the Italian army during World War I, however he returned to Australia in 1920 with his new bride Carmela Grimaldi, and became a grocer and shopkeeper in Ultimo and later Rose Bay.
