  • Scope and Content
    1. "Brulema", the brand new home of the Hamons and their life's ambition. The Art Director [Ralph Johnston], seated on the verandah edge, has taken off his hat and most of his clothes as a tribute to their pluck and determination "God bless Brulema"
    2. A novel idea for a poster, advertising the result of a short walk with a Winchester, posted especially for the wonder dog "Togo". Two rabbits, whose lives were sacrificed in the cause of art, have been unfortunately omitted, owing to the Art Director's [Ralph Johnston] contribution of hop fluid to the opening dinner, having a detrimental effect on the Honorary Photographer [Alma Hamon]
    3. Introducing some local color [sic], the Art Director [Ralph Johnston], with the loss of much tobacco, has enlisted the services of an Abo Belle [Eileen Kellond] and is demonstrating the accuracy of his aim by smashing twelve beer bottles bobbing up and down in a heavy surf
    4. Angling off the rocks the Abo Belle [Eileen Kellond] and the Art Director [Ralph Johnston] have landed some enormous fish too large to include in the picture, the space being conserved for a glimpse of the abandoned home in the background
    5. Having clouted himself on the ear-hole twice, the Art Director [Ralph Johnston] is here depicted, determined to master the boomerang business
    6. A lover of all trades, the Art Director [Ralph Johnston] is here seen mastering the intricacies of the crayfish trap
    7. A fitting conclusion to a good morning's work, the Abo method of serving grilled cotton-tail was much appreciated at the time
    8. Hollywood has nothing on this and visitors to Brulema will not be disappointed in the originals [Eileen Kellond, seated with a cat]
    9. [Ralph Jonston & Togo]
    10. The Hostess and Honorary Photographer [Alma Hamon] with one of her two especial pets
    11. A study of Old Walter the Mailman, who for thirty six years, has delivered twice a week to the residents of the locality, their letters of sadness and gladness
    12. "Au Revoir but by cripes not good bye" [Mrs Thomas, Rose Bray sister of May Reynolds, Ralph Johnston, Les Hamon with pipe, May Broda Reynolds, Eileen Kellond, Henry Reynolds posed in front of Ralph's Chrysler]
