Yvonne Isaac attended Newcastle Girls' High School from 1941 to 1945. Patricia Isaac attended the same school from 1943 to 1947. Patricia graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1952 and a Diploma in Education in 1953. She was a teacher with the New South Wales Department of Education for 37 years and retired in December 1990.
