    Sydney Exposures book and exhibition caption: Evicted from home again, Brighton-le-Sands, 9 November 1933 : Many of those evicted from their homes during the Depression set up camps on crown land, particularly around the sandhills of Botany Bay. This group of 400 at Brighton-le-Sands was ordered out by Rockdale Council, which objected to the new community not paying rates.
