    Alfred Henry Wills was born in England and served for 2 1/2 years with the 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry during the Boer War. He enlisted in the A.I.F. in Queensland at the age of 40 in Jan. 1916 and embarked from Brisbane on HMAT A46 Clan MacGillivray, 1 May 1916. He fought in France Dec. 1916-1917, was evacuated from Etaples in Jan. 1917, hospitalised for two weeks with malaria contracted in 1900, and invalided home 26 Sept. 1917 on HT Borda
