G. E. Darby, 1807-1867, arrived in New South Wales in 1839 and worked as a surveyor. He and his son, Francis William Darby surveyed for the Australian Agricultural Company ca. 1852-1857. His brother William Campbell Darby, 1888 -1869, sheep farmer, also worked for the Australian Agricultural Company
