In 1843, he married Mary Loftus Rees, leaving her widowed with four children, Charles Ralph, Gregory George, Catherine Ann and May Cornelia Caroline - Scope and ContentIncludes letterbook 12 September 1829-20 October 1840 mainly to government officials regarding the convict James Roach, land settlements and station matters, journal 9 August 1848-10 August 1849, being a copy made by his son, Charles Ralph, ca. 1890, and journal kept by his wife, Mary Loftus, 11 December 1849-28 December 1850, mainly relating to property and family
