    The children of Osborne Wilshire and his wife Mary Louisa (nee Howe) included Lionel Ernest Osborne (1885-1917), Sydney Harold Osborne, known as Doley (1890-1917), Gladys Osborne (b. 1894), Vivian Osborne (b. 1899), Muriel and Beryl.

    Lionel E. O. Wilshire enlisted in the A.I.F. on 7 September 1915 and embarked from Sydney on 13 May 1916. He served with the 35th and 36th Battalion in France, was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant and was killed in action on 31 May 1917.

    Sydney H. O. Wilshire enlisted on 26 February 1915 and served at Gallipoli before transferring to the artillery, where he was promoted to Lieutenant. He was killed in action at Ypres on 31 July 1917.

    Vivian O. Wilshire enlisted on 8 February 1917 and was discharged on 6 October 1917 for family reasons.
