    Possibly F.R. Hume with wife.

Photograph was labelled by donor 'Explorer and wife'. It is certainly not Hamilton Hume. It may be his brother Francis Rawdon Hume and his wife Emma nee Mitchell.

There are (i.e. in 1954) no portraits of F.R. Hume in the Mitchell Library and the only portrait of Emma is on a Huon Family group (at a P1 location) taken at a much later date. There was a difference of about 11 years between the two. F.R. Hume in the 1828 census is 25, Emma died Jan. 30, 1887, in her 73rd year (this date from the Sydney Morning Herald).
