    Robert Douglas Caldwell , a jackeroo of Burwood, Sydney enlisted 19 Feb. 1917 aged 19 and served with the 2nd Battalion, 25th Reinforcement. He embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board H.M.A.T. A20 Hororata, 14 June 1917 and returned to Australia Jan. 1919
    Frank Gordon Grange, a clerk of Newtown, Sydney embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A32 Themistocles, 12 May 1915 and served with the 17th Battalion, C Company. He was killed in action, 9 Oct. 1917 and awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, altered to Military Medal.
    Frank Bailey, a law clerk of Armidale, New South Wales embarked from Sydney on board H.M.A.T. A20 Hororata, 14 June 1917 and served with the 2nd Battalion, 25th Reinforcement. He returned to Australia 27 Sept. 1918

    Letters and 2 postcards from Robert (Bob) Caldwell, written at sea June 1917, from Durrington camp, Salisbury Aug. 1917, Sutton Veny camp Oct. 1917, from France Dec. 1917-Sept. 1918, from hospital in England, Oct. 1918 and at sea on board HMAT Kamala, 6 Feb. 1919.
    Includes letter from Frank Gordon Grange, 17th Battalion, written from France 21 Feb. 1917, and letter from Frank Bailey to Mrs Caldwell expressing thanks to her son Bob for carrying him out wounded.
