ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Maurice Pearce, station overseer of Orange, N.S.W. enlisted in the First Light Horse Brigade aged 25 years, 10 Mar. 1915 and embarked from Sydney on HMAT A65 Clan McEwen, 28 June 1915. He served in the 6th Reinforcements to the 1st Regiment in Egypt, later at Gallipoli, 28 Sept.-20 Dec. 1915, Egypt, 26 Dec. 1915-7 Feb. 1916 and Sinai Peninsular 8 Feb. -26 Dec. 1917. He returned to Australia on HT Euripides, 15 Aug. 1919
