Private Eric Moon, a fitter's labourer of Kogarah, Sydney, New South Wales, enlisted aged 21 on 30 Oct. 1916 in D Company, 19th Battalion, Australian Imperial Forces and embarked from Sydney on board A29 Suevic, 11 Nov. 1916. He served in France and Belgium 20 Apr. 1917-Sept. 1918. He was gassed and sent to England to convalesce. He returned to Australia on HT Delta, arriving in Sydney 19 Mar. 1919 - Scope and ContentDescribes his voyages to and from England and gives a very brief outline of his experiences. The diary is a copy of his original.
