    Arthur Langley Hellmann, a dental mechanic of Manly, New South Wales was 22 years old when he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces, First Division, Signal Company on 17 Aug. 1914 as a driver. He embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A10 Karroo, 20 October 1914 and served in Egypt Dec. 1914-Apr. 1915 and the Dardanelles 24 Apr.-9 May 1915. He was invalided to Australia on the Euripides, 27 Aug. 1915
