    A. E. Grinyer, a printer, of Ashfield, New South Wales was born in Brisbane, Queensland and enlisted aged 24, 1 Dec. 1915. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A61 Kanowna, 29 Mar. 1916 and served in the 7th Australian Field Ambulance in Belgium and France, where he was wounded 2 May 1917. He embarked for Australia on HMAT A32 Themistocles 5 Nov. 1917 and was discharged medically unfit, 2 July 1918
