    An assessment of the Commonwealth Government’s Northern Territory Emergency Response, or Intervention, comprising a review of the recommendations of the 2007 'Little Children are Sacred' report, an examination of the aims and influences of the Intervention, and a case study of the community of Maningrida based on a trip to the community and interviews with residents and community workers in January 2008. During the course of the project there was a change of government at the November 2007 federal election.
