  The work is not signed nor dated
  Attributed to G.W. Evans and formerly attributed to J.W. Lewin
  `XV1/1803/1 has been compared with an almost identical view, a watercolour DG V1/86. There are points of similarity between the two which suggest that one may have been copied from the other'. Notes on attribution and dating of this and other paintings by Evans are at PXn 265.
