    This wash drawing depicts an incident in ca. 1829 whilst Hoddle was surveying the county of St Vincent, near Pigeon House Mountain. (PXA 1042 f. 1)

    This in turn, appears to be an earlier version of a more finished watercolour which depicts an incident when a wild bullock was killed, and includes an Aboriginal figure, apparently travelling with the party:

    Murrengenberg [sic] and Budawang Mountain. Wild pack bullock killed in ascending the former mountain / Robert Hoddle (PX*D 319 f. 12)
