    Lieutenant-Colonel John Brady Nash, was a surgeon of Macquarie Street, Sydney and parliamentarian, being a member of the NSW Legislative Council from 1900-1925. He applied for a commission in No. 2 General Hospital, Australian Army Medical Corps, aged 57 years on 12 Nov. 1914 and embarked from Sydney on board Transport A55 Kyarra, 28 Nov. 1914.
    He served from 1914 to 1915, arriving in Alexandria 14 Jan. 1915 and returning to Australia on HT Themistocles, 30 Dec. 1915
