    These papers came to the Mitchell Library in response to the Library's general appeal for the diaries and other papers of Australian servicemen and women who served in World War I.

    3. (i) Special Army Corps Order by Major C. M. Wagstaff for Brig.-General, General Staff, ANZAC, 7 September 1915. (ii) Special Order of the Day by Brig.-General E. M. Woodward, 15 September 1915. (iii) Copy of telegram from General Headquarters, Mediterranean Expeditionary Force to the War Office regarding water supply for troops landing at Suvla Bay, 8 November 1915.
    4. Copies of Divisional Orders and Summary of Casulaties issued by Major General Charles Townshend prior to the fall of Kut-Al-Amarah, 13 November 1915 - 28 April 1916.
    5. (i) Operation Order No. 1 by Major R. F. Fitz-Gerald, Walkers Ridge, 17 December 1915. (ii) General Birdwood's Message to Men of the Australian and New Zealand Forces, March 1916 with Earl Kitchener's Message to The Troops.
    6. Translation of German Order for the attack on Villers-Bretonneux, 24 April 1918.
    7. Special Order of the Day by Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, 26 October 1918.
    8. (i) Special Orders of the Day by General Sir E. H. H. Allenby, 26 September 1918 and January 1919. (ii) Leave Pass, 30 June 1918. (iii) Leaflet in Arabic and English regarding the working hours of Dr Habibe Chahlauy, specialist in the treatment of gonorrhea and syphilis, in Beirut. (iv) Notice regarding the Army & Navy Echelon Barracks YMCA, Columbo, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
    9. (i) Message sent at 10.55am from 2nd Division HQ. This message from General Foch ordered cessation of hostilities at the time of the Armistice, 11 November 1918. (ii) Australian Corps News Sheets Nos 7 & 8, 6 & 18 November 1918 (iii) German Peace propaganda leaflets (in French and English), ca October 1918.
