    ""M.S."" represents Mary Stephen, being the arist's married name.
    Many pages of the sketchbook are blank. Only pages with drawings have been listed above.
    Some drawings extend over two pages of the sketchbook.
    Pages 14-15, 20-21, 38-39 were removed from the volume at an uknown date.
    Nos. 23, 39 and 41 are faint sketches and appear to be erased. No.41 has text that is difficult to discern.
    Nos. 27 and 41 are executed upside-down.
    No.62 may depict a view of Glenelg and the mouth of Patawalongi Creek (1/2 mile west of old gum tree) as identified by Senator K.A. Laught of South Australia in 1965.
