    Drawings - 8.9 x 6.8 cm. portrait, inside frame (sight) - 14.4 x 11.3 cm. (frame) - 1 watercolour on ivory miniature in rectangular shaped wooden frame that bears carved design of leaves along sides and sun motifs in each corner, glass front, and metal stand pinned to backing sheet.

  • Scope and Content
    The female in this portrait wears evening attire that consists of a low-cut high waisted blue silk ball gown with short puff sleeves, chemise undergarment visible above lace trim at neckline, a tartan stole, and multiple strands of gold chains.

    Accompanying the portrait is a non-contemporaneous bakelite rectangular label with black print giving title and donor information.
    Handwritten in black ink on the back of frame, possibly by a Mitchell Library staff member, "Mrs. Celia Wills daughter of Mrs. Reibey presented to Mitchell Library by Mrs A.G. Foster Feb. 27 1925"
    The portrait has been re-mounted and framed at a later unknown date.
