    Drawings - 1 watercolour on ivory miniature encased in oval shaped gold frame with glass front and red velvet backing. The portrait is held into the frame by three pins (one is missing). At the top centre of the frame are two metal loops, one smaller than the other, to suspend or hang frame. - 8.1 x 6.5 cm. (loop height 1.7 cm.)
  • Scope and Content
    In this portrait, James Cook faces right, his hair is powdered or he has a grey wig, and wears a crimson coloured military coat.
